Notwithstanding the presence of an expanding Meta (formerly Facebook) data center in the Stanton Springs industrial and mixed-use development off Interstate 20 in Social Circle, local elected officials and economic development professionals are becoming wary of those enterprises as a means of boosting their economies and steering more tax revenue into their coffers.
