The Newton County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday to grant funding to a warming shelter this winter season. The warming shelter is operated by local nonprofit Repairers of the Breach and is located at 2185 Washington Street. Both the City of Covington and Newton County are contributing funding to the upkeep and operation of the facility through the winter months.
