Is it just me, or not even close?

This week I've decided to pose questions (in the spirit of roundball) among the three county schools, NCAA and the NBA:

Is it just me or is Texas freshman Kevin Durant not the greatest all-around player in college hoops right now? (As of Wednesday, Durant was averaging 24.4 points, 11.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 27 games played.)

And is it just me or am I the only person who thinks Ohio State freshman Greg Oden is entirely too overrated? (Is he good player? Absolutely, and he will continue to develop. But Oden isn't the best in the country - not yet, at least.)

Is it just me or does ESPN/ABC college basketball analyst Steve Lavin have way too much oil in his hair? (Every time I see him on television I pray no one lights a match around him.)

Is it just me or are the Newton Rams underrated heading into the state playoffs this weekend? (Loaded with talent and a meticulous head coach - Rick Rasmussen - who stresses the importance of teamwork, the Rams have the potential to advance deep in the state tournament.)

Is it just me or does NBA homophobe Tim Hardaway make you nauseous,? (Yes, Hardaway is expressing his freedom of speech - our most important right in this country. But his 'I hate gay people' comments were completely out of line and unjustified.)

Is it just me or am I not the only one who won't be surprised if the North Carolina Tar Heels, with all their talent, do not make it to Atlanta for the NCAA Final Four.

Is it just me or is Eastside's Torrio Cook as good, if not better, than advertised? (Cook averaged 20 points this season for the young Eagles - just a pure shooter and a sheer joy to watch play on the court.)

Is it just me or was I the only one dumbfounded after watching Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings take a cheap shot at Florida's Joakim Noah on Saturday? (Not a huge deal - but Stallings acted immature during the incident.)

Is it just me or did Dwight Howard get robbed during the slam dunk contest in Las Vegas?

And finally, is it just me or did anyone actually believe at the start of the season the first-year Alcovy Tigers would be hosting a state playoff game?
