Located in a snug yellow building with black shutters on Ga. Highway 36, Bloom Salon and Boutique features friendly stylists and a range of services.
The salon, in business since November, is owned by Brea Lewis, who is joined by Michele Kendall. Together the two stylists have worked to create a soothing and comfortable atmosphere at Bloom.
Working off the name, the walls of Bloom are decorated with paintings of flowers which are used throughout the decorating scheme of the salon. A coffee station and HDTV are located in a snug nook where clients can relax while waiting for their appointments.
"We've been doing hair combined for 25 years," Lewis said, adding that she constantly works to stay up-to-date with the latest in hair fashions.
Prior to opening Bloom, Lewis and Kendall worked at several salons in Conyers, Social Circle and Monroe.
Sue Spivey, an Oxford resident and a regular client at Bloom, said of the stylists, "These girls are sweethearts. I can't say enough nice things about them."
Bloom carries Redken, Tigi and Big Sexy Hair products as well as necklaces, earrings and navel rings. Lewis said she plans to add more jewelry items down the line.
