Lady Rams track and field wins first region championship in 14 years

On April 22, the Lady Rams Track team won the Region 2-AAAAAA championship and recognized that no matter
how things look in the beginning, good or bad, it is whatyou achieve at the end. With team effort anything is possible
if you set goals, work hard, dedication, motivation and endure obstacles and challenges. Through their tear, sweat,
sisterhood and sportsmanship our girls has finally made a bond that would be forever remembered at Newton High
School. The Girls Track qualified in every Track and Field event across the board for sectionals.

The Girls Track Team Sectional Finalist is listed below:

• Jakara George- 4th place 400m, 4th
place 800m
• Mayia Newton- 2nd place 800m, 3rd
• Zion Milon- 4th place 3200m

3rd place 300H
• 4X100M Relay 3rd place
• 4X400M Relay place
• Nneka Onyekwuluji - 2nd place High
