BASKETBALL RECRUITING: Newton’s Tyrease Brown commits to Fort Valley State

COVINGTON, Ga. —  Newton sharpshooter Tyrease Brown announced his commitment to Fort Valley State University Thursday morning via social media. 

After receiving the offer just days earlier, Tyrease quickly pulled the trigger on his commitment because, “It felt right and they showed a lot of love to me from the beginning.”

Some appealing factors of Fort Valley State were its proximity to home and the school being an HBCU. 

Though he is obviously excited about the future, Tyrease said nothing changes for him going forward the rest of the year. “For me and my teammates (I want) to finish [the season] out strong.”
