A pair of former county-area softball players have earned All-Conference in the NCAA D2 Peach Belt Conference.

Former Eastside Eagle and current North Georgia outfielder Natalie Ray was named to the Peach Belt First Team.

As a junior in the 2025 season, Ray held a slash line of .416/.497/.812 with 64 hits and 54 runs. Ray had 30 extra base hits, with 14 of them as home runs.

Ray was also perfect in the field as she held a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Ray graduated from Eastside in 2022 and was Region 8-AAAAA’s Player of the Year. Additionally, Ray shattered the Eagles’ stolen base record during her final season.

Former Social Circle Lady Redskin Madalyn Spinks was named to the Peach Belt Second Team.

Spinks, who is a pitcher for Augusta University, posted strong numbers in her second season with the Jaguars.

As a sophomore, Spinks held a 3.36 earned run average over 137 innings of work.

Spinks held an 8-8 record on the mound and accounted for 66 strikeouts.

Spinks graduated from Social Circle in 2023 and posted a 1.69 ERA as a senior for the Lady Redskins. Spinks was named to the First Team All-Region as well as All-Cov News First Team in her final season of high school ball.
