The Alcovy High School baseball team hosted local rival Rockdale County on Tuesday evening and rolled to a 13-3 victory in five innings.
Knotted up at three runs apiece, the Tigers pushed seven runs across in the fourth inning before plating three more in the fifth to invoke the mercy rule. Senior catcher Chris Burney led the effort with a three-run blast, while six of his teammates also recorded hits throughout the game.
