UPDATE (March 29, 2 p.m.) The female victim who died after a car crash on Ga. Highway 138 on Monday has been identified.
Felice J. Eddleman, 63, of Conyers died at Rockdale Medical Center on Monday afternoon.
According to preliminary reports from the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office, Eddleman was driving north on Ga. Highway 138 in a green 2000 Ford Focus around 2 p.m. A 22-year-old female passenger was in the car with her.
Eddleman made an illegal U-turn near Pine Log Road to get into the south-bound lanes. While doing so, she reportedly clipped a gold 2004 Honda Civic heading south.
The Civic was pushed into the right lane and the Ford Focus came to a stop in the center lane. According to the report, the Ford Focus was not disabled and was still able to drive.
A white Econoline van in the center lane was unable to stop in time and rear-ended the Ford Focus.
A helicopter transport was initially called for Eddleman, but that was called off as she was transported to Rockdale Medical Center for stablization. She died later on Monday afternoon. An autopsy is being performed, according to RCSO spokesperson Sgt. Jodi Shupe.
The passenger in the Ford Focus was transported by ambulance to Atlanta Medical Center and was discharged early Monday evening.

(March 28, 8:43 p.m.) The elderly female victim in the crash on Ga. Highway 138 died this afternoon at Rockdale Medical Center, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office.
The status of the victim taken to Atlanta Medical is unknown.

(March 28, 3:34 p.m.) A vehicle accident on Ga. Highway 138 near Pine Log Park sent at least two to the hospital today.
Emergency medical personnel were dispatched shortly after 2 p.m. One victim was transported to Atlanta Medical Hospital, according to emergency medical personnel. A lifeflight was called for another victim, an elderly female, but that was canceled and the victim was instead transported to Rockdale Medical Center for stabilization. The status of the victims is unknown.
Three vehicles are believed to be involved in the accident.
