UPDATE: One person was sent to the hospital after a silver Honda CR-V was struck by a Jeep and rolled over multiple times on Parker Road.
The driver of the Honda, a white female, was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The driver of the Jeep, a white female from Conyers, was able to walk away from the accident.
The CR-V was headed south in the left lane of Parker Road, before Commerce Street, according to witness Tommy Rose of Conyers, who was driving in the right lane next to it. The Jeep was on Commerce Street making a left to head north on Parker Road while Rose was making a right onto Commerce Street.
The Jeep struck the CR-V, which went airborne before coming down and rolling about two times, said Rose. The driver was reportedly conscious and no other passengers were in the car.
The driver of the Jeep was issued a citation for failing to yield, according to Conyers police. The accident site was cleared around 3:40 p.m.
