The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo (BPIR) returns to Conyers at the Georgia International Horse Park from Aug. 1 - 2. The all-black cowboy rodeo has been a presence in Conyers for some years now, and this will mark the 31st year of the BPIR. The cowboys and cowgirls battle to be the best as spectators cheer from the sidelines. The festivities will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. There will also be a rodeo after party at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday or right after the rodeo ends at Los Charos North Restaurant. Tickets are $17 for children and senior citizens in advance and $20 at the door. For adults tickets are $23 in advance and $30 at the door.
