Mrs. Wanda Jane Nichols, 47, of Covington, passed away Jan. 2 at Newton Medical Center. Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her father Charlie Britt Wilson.

She taught Sunday school for more than 20 years and loved her family and her friends. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, reading, cooking for people and scrapbooking. Mrs. Nichols loved to play with her dog Maxx.

Mrs. Nichols is survived by her husband Frank Nichols of Covington; daughters Hope Holloway, Christy Phillips; sons and daughter-in-law Daniel Nichols, Brian and Kelly Nichols; seven grandchildren; mother Carrie Inez Wilson; sisters and brothers-in-law Maggie and Herman Bradford, Annie Laura Wilson, Mary Alice and Duane Criswell, Patsy and Jamie Lodge, Kathy Standridge; brothers and sisters-in-law Douglas and Birgit Wilson, Thomas and Rachel Wilson, Britt Wilson; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Pastor Tracy Puckett, the Rev. Gary Satterfield and the Rev. Tony Howeth officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Jan. 4.
