Thomas C. Seritt, Sr., of Covington, died September 8, 2009, at the age of 66. Mr. Seritt was a Navy Veteran, having served on the USS Forrestal, and also a member of the Golden Fleece Lodge #6. He retired from Golden State Foods, in Conyers, after 18 years of employment. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast, and enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and working in his yard. Mr. Seritt was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Imogene Sherrod Seritt; and his brother and sister. Survivors include his wife, Juanita A. Seritt; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Rose Seritt, Jr., of Honea Path, SC, Christopher Dale and Jackie Seritt of Harrison, AR, Scott and Sarah Seritt of Springdale, AR; step-son, Chris Buckner of Conyers; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeri and John Karter, Donna and Jim Barker, Brenda Irwin, Linda and Butch Cummings; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Mr. Seritt will be held Friday, September 11, 2009, 3 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Rd. The family will receive friends before the service from 1-3 PM.
