Sara Elizabeth King of Covington, passed away July 18, 2015, at the age of 82. She was a quick witted, one-of- a-kind, generous lady. Mrs. King dearly loved spending time with her close-knit family. In addition, she enjoyed her beautiful flowers, doing yardwork and watching all sports. Mrs. King was a long-time member of Stewart Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll King; parents, Vernon and Opal Moore; sister, Patricia Pittman; and brother, Charles H. Moore.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Carroll King; granddaughters, Kayla King, Kelly Todd and her husband, James; sister, Peggy Moore Pittman; brothers and sisters-in-law, William “Willie” and Yvonne Moore, Buster and Shirley Moore; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; several great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. King will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2015, 2 p.m., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Jeff Perkins officiating with interment following in Stewart Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends three hours prior to the service on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
