Patsy L. Allen of Covington, 65, passed away Dec. 11. Mrs. Allen enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved life and loved going to the North Georgia Mountains and the Great Smoky Mountains. Mrs. Allen was a people person and loved taking care of her patients as a private sitter, as well as her patients at Merryvale. She was preceded in death by her grandson Christopher Thomas Phillips, parents Freddie B. and Fairybelle (Garner) Lane, sister Kay, father-in-law and mother-in-law George A. Sr. and Allene Allen.

Survivors include her husband George A. Allen Jr. of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law Donna and Joe Cagle of Covington, Jeanine and Andy Batchelor of Milledgeville; son and daughter-in-law Tony and Mandy Allen of Covington; step-children Cheryle Churchill, Dianne Reynolds, John L. Allen, all of Covington; eight grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; sister Faye of McDonough; brothers Bill Lane, Roy Lane, Buddy Lane, all of Covington, Johnny Loyd, Lonnie Loyd; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Allen were held Dec. 14 at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd St.; interment followed in Covington Mill Cemetery.
