Mrs. Sara “Nick” Mercer Prosser, 93 of Covington passed away June 27, 2011.  She was born July 24, 1917 in Monticello, GA to the late Grover Cleveland and Maude Steadham Mercer.  Mrs. Prosser was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother.  She was a member of Mansfield Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was the President of the WMU.  Mrs. Prosser retired from teaching having taught at East Newton and Mansfield Elementary Schools.  She was also a member of the local AARP Chapter.  Mrs. Prosser was preceded in death by her Husband Mr. Charles R. Prosser.   

Mrs. Prosser was survived by Children; Jerry and Hilda Prosser of Mansfield and Carol Ann and Steve Biggers, of Covington her Grandchildren; Beth and Todd Nolan, Suzy Prosser Holder, Doug and Terri Jo Biggers, Chip and Alexis Prosser, Ann and Marshall McCart, Becky and Darrell Smallwood her Great Grandchildren; Drew and Amy Bouchillon, Ashlei Bouchillon, Geoff Nolan, Leeanne Biggers, Laura Nolan, Jake Hammond, Dalton Biggers, Kate Nolan, Nick Hammond, Kylie Biggers, Eli Smallwood, Luke Prosser, Alex Prosser, Ella Prosser, Laney McCart, Sara Smallwood, Maggie Smallwood her Great, Great Grandchild; Emily Bouchillon.  She is also survived by her; Sisters and Brother-in-law; Ammie Laura Tyler and Betty and L. J. Johnson Brothers and Sisters- in-law; Weyman and Ann Mercer and Walter and Alice Tillman Sisters- In-Law; Merle Prosser and Sara Greer Prosser and numerous nieces, nephews other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Prosser will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the Mansfield Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Perkins officiating.  Interment will follow at Carmel Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Harwell Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm for Tuesday, June 28, 2011.  Harwell Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel, 2157 East Street SE, Covington, GA 30014 is in charge of arrangements. www.harwellfuneralhome.com
