Mr. Larry Morton, 79, of Oxford, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014.  He was born May 2, 1935 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Daniel Jefferson and Martha Brookshrie Morton.  Mr. Morton worked for Gordy Tile Company for 25 years.  He enjoyed riding horses and coon hunting for many years.

Mr. Morton is survived by his wife Barbara Morton and their children; Robert Morton, Alan and Marie Morton, Becky and David Savage, Nancy and Gene Acker, John Hardin, Pamela and Terry Mowery, Raymond and Karla Hardin, Sarah and Samuel Spencer, Leah and Patrick Stephens and Joshua Hardin.  He is also survived by his grandchildren; Brain Morton, Joseph Morton, Jessica McHugh, Erin Rubright, Karissa Moore and Mandy Morton, along with numerous great grandchildren.  Mr. Morton is also survived by his sister Montene Crucell and many nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. 

Funeral services for Mr. Morton will be held at 11 o’clock, Saturday, December 13, 2014 in the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Acker and Reverend Virgil Barnard officiating.  Interment will follow at Corinth Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00am until service time on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers please make donation to Fellowship Baptist Church, 4297 Hwy 81, Oxford, GA 30054.  J.C.
