Mildred Lawrence was born on Feb. 15, 1929 to Mr. Lester Lawrence and Mrs. Maddie Lawrence in Madison.

Mildred was a very soft spoken, loving person who spent a lot of time cooking and watching her daily soap operas. She also enjoyed sewing and sitting in with her family and friends.

She served on the mother board at Springfield Missionary Baptist church until her health began to decline.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Lester (Maddie) Lawrence; sisters, Virgil Lawrence, Betsy Lawrence, Mattie Lawrence; brothers, Joseph Lawrence, Roscoe Lawrence and Leonard Lawrence.

Mildred Lawrence leaves to cherish her precious memories, sister, Ms. Lizzie Lawrence; nephew, Mr. Anderson Hart and a host of other relatives and friends. 

The funeral service began at noon Thursday, July 25 at Lester Lackey & Sons Chapel, at 1163 Reynolds St., in Covington, with the Rev. Jerry Stokes officiating.

The family of the late Ms. Mildred Lawrence would like to thank each of you for your calls, visits, moral support and every act of kindness shown during their time of bereavement.
