Mary Claire Parham, of Covington, age 16 months, went to Heaven on Feb. 16, 2018, and is now being rocked in the arms of her Mamaw. Affectionately known as “Prize Number-Nine Grandbaby,” Mary Claire was full of love and wonder. Her playful spirit was abundant, and she loved to run and dance and sing. Always quick to show affection, Mary Claire loved to give hugs and kisses. She adored kittens, puppies, horses and she loved candy - especially M&M’s.

Survivors include her parents, Brad and Anna Parham; sisters, Aubrey Parham, Phoebe Parham; maternal grandparents, Bruce and Jean Mundy, all of Covington; paternal grandparents, Mary Ellen Parham, of Hartwell, David Parham, of Royston; maternal great-grandmother, Jean Carol Mundy, paternal grandmother, Annie Ruth Parham; aunts and uncles, Brook and Todd Peppers, Lisa and Ross Mundy, Adrienne and Michael Parham; and cousins, Holly and Levi Fangmann, Susanna Mundy Peppers, Evan Peppers, Ella Mundy, Jake Mundy, Sara Mundy, Hannah Parham, Abbi Parham, Jacob Parham.

A Memorial Service for Mary Claire will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the First Baptist Church, 1139 Usher St., NE, in Covington, with Pastor Tony Samples and Pastor Tim Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Mary Claire Scholarship Fund at Covington First Baptist Academy, 1139 Usher St., NE, Covington.
