Carol Barfield, of Covington, passed away March 14, 2014, at the age of 73.

She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking.  She had a special place in her heart for children. Mrs. Barfield was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Barfield; sisters, Lois Allison and Leah Tucker.

Survivors include her son, Joey Billy Barfield of Newborn; sisters, Laverne, Jackie, Gloria; brothers, Bruce, Bobby, Glenn; numerous nieces and nephews.    

Graveside services for Mrs. Barfield will be held Monday, March 17, 2 p.m., at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens, Oglethorpe, Ga., with Rev. Lucas Allison officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd St., in Covington, Sunday, March 16, from 6-8 p.m..
