Three women were killed and two others remain hospitalized after a wreck at 8:30 p.m. Friday on Ga. Highway 36.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, a Pontiac Grand Am driven by 22-year-old Tesha Amanda Barrington reportedly pulled out of the parking lot of the Dollar General store into the path of a Chevrolet Silverado.
A mother and daughter from out of state who were in the backseat of Barrington’s vehicle also died of injuries sustained in the collision. Their identities were being withheld pending notification of family.
Another passenger, 32-year-old James Allen Bruce, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. Barrington’s 2-year-old son was transported to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
The occupants of the Silverado did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
According to the state patrol, Barrington was at fault for the accident and no charges are pending against the driver of the Silverado.
