SMYRNA, Ga. (AP) — Police were searching for a suspect who shot a woman in the mouth during a robbery outside a shopping center in Cobb County, just outside Atlanta.

Police say a woman was robbed and then shot outside the Sports Authority store at Akers Mill, in the Cumberland area of the county, around 9 p.m. Monday.

WSB-TV reports that police were searching for the suspect, who ran from the scene.

CBS 46 reports that investigators were focusing on a gray Volkswagen, which had a large amount of blood on the back side of the vehicle.
