SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. (AP) — Georgia Department of Natural Resources officials say information on new state hunting regulations is now available online and in print.
Chief of the department's Game Management Section John Bowers says he encourages all hunters to review state hunting regulations yearly to stay informed about changes and opportunities.
Department officials say some of the major changes this year include the Chattahoochee Fall Line and Spirit Creek Forest wildlife management areas being open to hunting this fall.
Officials also say suppressed firearms are now legal for hunting on private land with permission from the landowner.
