LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is scheduled to visit a suburban Atlanta church in an appearance sponsored by a Christian organization.
The Gwinnett Daily Post reports that Tebow will be speaking at 12Stone Church in Lawrenceville on May 2 with author John C. Maxwell.
The event is billed as "a conversation about leadership and faith." Tebow's appearance is being arranged by EQUIP, an organization founded by Maxwell and geared toward the development of international Christian leaders.
Tebow, the former University of Florida standout who has become known for his game-day prayers and other displays of his faith, was recently traded from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets.
