ATLANTA (AP) — Forecasters say there's a slight risk of severe thunderstorms across Georgia, which could bring damaging wind and hail.

The National Weather Service said the isolated storms will be possible as a cold front arrives on Friday.

Forecasters say storms could fire up in the northwest part of the state by noon Friday, and then in areas southeast of metro Atlanta by 6 p.m. Friday.

The weather service is also projecting very warm temperatures ahead of the front, with highs in the mid-80s in the metro Atlanta area on Thursday.
