LAWRENCEVILLE - The lawyer for a 15-year-oldl accused of killing her mother said the girl's boyfriend had given her a deadline, and vowed to break up with her if she didn't meet him that night.

Braselton Assistant Police Chief Lou Solis said in a court hearing Friday the girl told police she grabbed a gun from her room. Solis said the girl recalled asking her mother what time it was and, realizing it was getting late, shot her mother and then left to meet her boyfriend.

The mother, 42-year-old Karen Moore, was found dead in her Braselton home.

Moore's husband and son, both Army reservists, were stationed in Alabama and not at the home at the time of the April 6 shooting.

Charges against the teen were bound over to Superior Court after Friday's hearing.
