Stray dogs cause trouble in Grant Park

ATLANTA (AP) - Residents in Atlanta's Grant Park neighborhood are being warned to be wary of stray dogs in the area.

A neighborhood group says two such animals are suspected of killing chickens and menacing people. The Grant Park Neighborhood Association sent out an alert saying the dogs, a female German shepherd with a limp and a male Rottweiler mix, killed a flock of chickens on Grant Street and were seen lurking around other coops.

Residents told WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/rGog3j) that residents wanted people to keep an eye out for the dogs or other aggressive strays as trick-or-treaters filled the streets Monday night.

The neighborhood is just southeast of downtown Atlanta.
