ATLANTA, Ga. - Sen. Brian Strickland (R – McDonough) received an “A+” grade, along with a Chamber Champion distinction, from the Georgia Chamber of Commerce for his work during the 2017-2018 Legislative Session.

“The Georgia Chamber’s commitment to bringing economic development opportunities to communities across the state is part of the reason Georgia is consistently rated as one of the best states in the nation in which to do business,” Strickland said. “I am grateful to be recognized as a ‘Chamber Champion’ and I look forward to working closely with the Georgia Chamber in the future to continue making Georgia the best state in the country to live, work and raise a family.”

The Georgia Chamber assigns grades to state legislators based on how well they represented the Chamber’s legislative priorities throughout the legislative session. Sen. Strickland supported many of these priorities, as well as carried one of the Georgia Chamber’s priorities, House Resolution 993. HR 993 is a constitutional amendment which, if adopted by Georgia voters through a referendum, would create a state-wide business court to handle complex litigation specific to business cases.
