GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a pregnant woman has been killed as she tried to cross a highway in northeast Georgia.

The Times reports (http://bit.ly/1k89837) that the woman was struck by a vehicle around 9:30 p.m. Sunday as she tried to cross the southbound lanes of Georgia 365 near Mud Creek Road in northeastern Hall County. Her name wasn't immediately released.
