High school teacher killed in wreck with prom-going teens

ATLANTA, Ga. (AP) — An Atlanta high school teacher has died after a car crash with two students on their way to her school's prom.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1EvsZ3P) reports 33-year-old Leah O'Brien of Decatur collided with two teenagers on their way to the Lakeside High School prom in DeKalb County Saturday night. O'Brian taught family and consumer sciences at Lakeside in northeast Atlanta and served as a dance team sponsor.

The two teenagers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. O'Brien's 8-year-old daughter is in critical but stable condition.

Police are still investigating the accident.
