VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) — A Georgia high school teacher has been arrested and charged with having sexual contact with her male students.
The Valdosta Daily Times (http://bit.ly/1Jww8jv ) reports 42-year-old Phoebe Chapman turned herself in to authorities Tuesday. Investigators say rumors surfaced in March that Chapman had sexual contact with students at Lowndes High School, where she is a career and technical instruction teacher.
Investigators confirmed three male students had sexual relationships with Chapman while they were students. Lowndes County Lt. Stryde Jones says most of the students have since graduated.
The Lowndes County School Board says Chapman has resigned from her job. She has been charged with three counts of sexual assault. It is unclear if Chapman has a lawyer.
