ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a dancer involved in a fracas at an Athens nightspot has been banned from the establishment for two years after a brawl involving a half-dozen dancers that resulted in contusions and broken noses.

Athens-Clarke police say they responded to the fight at Topper's International Showbar around 3 a.m. Sunday, after one of the dancers hit a co-worker with a hairbrush, bruising her face.

Authorities say the fight was on at that point.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/pTCoGe) that the woman wielding the hairbrush fought with other dancers, leaving some of them with bruised faces, contusions and broken noses.

A police report also stated that one dancer threatened to the kill the children of another dancer.

Police officers told dancers and club employees to "obtain restraining orders as necessary."
