ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta educators accused of crimes in connection with the school system's cheating scandal earned bonuses that totaled as little as $750 and averaged $2,600.

Records show that the exception was Superintendent Beverly Hall, whose bonus pay reached about $365,000 since 2005, when prosecutors say criminal activity began.

The amount of bonus pay given to the educators was revealed this week by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://bit.ly/10sFmF4), which obtained the data from Atlanta Public Schools through the Georgia Open Records Act.

Arraignments for the 35 Atlanta Public Schools officials who were indicted in a racketeering conspiracy are set for Friday. Former educators are also charged with making false statements and writings, influencing witnesses and theft by taking.
