CHATSWORTH, Ga. (AP) — A third northwest Georgia woman faces a child cruelty charge after an 11-year-old boy was found trapped in a cage in a bedroom.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says 64-year-old Gloria Jane Brown was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree cruelty to children and false imprisonment.

She was scheduled to have a bond hearing Tuesday afternoon. It wasn't immediately clear whether she had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.

The GBI says an investigation revealed that Brown was the caregiver for two children Thursday morning when a deputy responded to a home in Chatsworth for a welfare check. A deputy left after the initial check but returned later and found the boy in a cage.

The children's mother and another woman were charged in the case Friday.
