ATLANTA (AP) — Federal authorities say three people were found trying to take loaded guns and inert grenades onto flights departing from Atlanta's airport.

TSA officials said in a statement Thursday that two loaded guns were found in carry-on bags at 6:40 and 7 a.m. Officials say screeners also found two inert grenades in a third passenger's checked bag around 10:30 a.m.

The grenades were given to authorities and the passenger wasn't arrested. Atlanta police say a 35-year-old man who told police he forgot his gun was in his bag was arrested for carrying the weapon with an expired permit.

Former reality television personality Benzino was also arrested Wednesday for having a gun in his bag.

Unloaded firearms may fly in checked bags and grenades — both live and inert — are prohibited.
