LOGANVILLE - The city council has decided to put the issue of Sunday alcohol sales on the November ballot.

Smyrna and Kennesaw have also been considering placing similar referendums on ballots this fall.

The Georgia Legislature this year approved allowing local voters to decide whether they want alcohol sales in their communities on Sundays.

The Loganville City Council voted 5-1 on Monday to allow residents to decide whether stores can sell alcohol on Sundays.
