According to the Newton County School System Public Relations Director Sherri Viniard, both Fairview Elementary School  and Clements Middle School are on lockdown. 

The schools have been locked down as a precaution, according to Viniard, while law enforcement officials search the area for suspects believed to be involved in a robbery that occured in Conyers. 

Until school officials are notified that the area is secure the schools will remain on lockdown, meaning no one may enter or exit the buildings.
