Footloose looking for paid extras for filming

The Georgia Department of Labor’s Covington Career Center and Woodridge Productions of Culver City, Calif., hope to recruit about 100 extras for the upcoming movie "Footloose" Thursday, Aug. 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at DeKalb Technical College, 16200 Alcovy-Jersey Road.

Movie roles will include farmers, speedway racetrack fans, ladies and gentlemen dressed in their Sunday best, cheerleaders and high school athletes dressed in high school attire, women and men who work with their hands and line dancers dressed in their best attire.

Applicants must be at least 18-years-old and have reliable transportation. They may dress in T-shirts or flannel shirts, light jackets, overalls, denims, khakis, business wear or long-sleeved shirts and tie.

Wages are $100 for a 12-hour day.
