Deadlines for Snapping Shoals EMC scholarships are quickly approaching. Full details and applications can be found at www.ssemc.com. The deadline is February 8. Members may also call 770-385-2888 to have applications mailed to them.

The Snapping Shoals EMC?J.E. Robinson Memorial Scholarships are worth $2,000 each and are awarded to 14 high school seniors living in homes served by Snapping Shoals EMC, as well as seniors at designated high schools in the area. 

The All-Around Student Scholarships are also worth $2,000 each and are awarded to six high school seniors whose homes or high schools are served by SSEMC. These scholarships recognize those students who go above and beyond in their extracurricular activities while still maintaining high academic standards. The deadline to apply for the All-Around Student Scholarships is Feb. 8 as well.

Three Washington Youth Tour winners from SSEMC will join more than 100 other teens from across Georgia and about 1,400 other students from across the country in visiting Washington, D.C., this summer. The deadline to apply for the Washington Youth Tour is February 15.

Snapping Shoals Electric Membership Corporation is a non-profit, consumer-owned cooperative headquartered in Covington and provides electric service to about 95,000 residential, commercial and industrial consumers in parts of Rockdale, Henry, Newton, DeKalb, Butts, Walton, Jasper and Morgan counties.
