The Newton County Board of Education will hold a combined work session/monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The board is set to discuss a variety of topics, including contractual agreements with physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapy services, the setting of the millage rate for fiscal year 2012 and giving Superintendent Gary Mathews authority to employ/transfer staff to meet enrollment demands during the first month of school.

Anyone interested in being heard prior to the meeting must fill out a public participation form prior to the start of the meeting.

The board typically has two meetings a month but combined July's meetings due to the holiday.
