MONTICELLO, Ga. - Piedmont Academy’s sixth-grade history class is working on a very interesting project titled, Surviving the Great Depression.

The class is divided into groups by profession, such as doctors, accountants, cooks, and factory workers.  The salaries for each profession range from $16 - $61 per week. 

The various groups had to keep a month-long budget planning worksheet during the time period of the Great Depression.
