MONTICELLO, Ga. — Piedmont Academy's FFA students Jake Pope, Jake Vaugh, Nick Nyman and Rhett Harris competed in the Environmental and Natural Resources Career Development Event.

The students were required to use a GPS and identify different species of trees and shrubs. Also, each student participated in a written test that consisted of different specimens of wildlife that each student identified. The team of four placed third out of 12.

Ellie McCart, eighth grader, competed in the FFA Quiz CDE. She took a written test consisting of FFA history-related questions. She placed 16th out of 39 students.
