Newton County educator re-elected to Board Of Professional Association Of Georgia Educators

The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) announced that Dr. Sandra Owens, Assistant Principal at Newton High School, has been elected to a second three year term on the board of directors of the more than 81,000 member professional organization, the largest such group in Georgia. The board meets quarterly to set policy for the professional association.

Owens will represent PAGE District 11, a 13 county region of East Central Georgia with approximately 7,400 PAGE members. She has been a PAGE member for 13 years and has served the organization as a building and a system contact. She is also a national board certified educator.

The election took place earlier in June during the PAGE Summer Conference.
