Alcovy FFA, Newton County FFA and Eastside FFA will attend the 84th Georgia FFA Convention March 26 - 28 in Macon. All three FFA chapters will be receiving several awards as well as competing in several events. Josie Stamps (Newton), Ethan Kitchens (Alcovy) and Sierra Pruitt (Newton) will be competing on the state level with their area winning proficiencies. Alcovy FFA Environmental and National Resources team (Robert Aiken, Dillon Parker, Ethan Kitchens, and Luke Bagley) will accept their award for their 3rd in State victory.
Every year the Georgia FFA confers upon members the State FFA Degree. Members receiving their State Degree must have been in agricultural education classes for at least two years, received the chapter degree and must have a quality Supervised Agricultural Experience Program. Members from NCSS receiving their State Degree are from Newton County FFA Brianna Galloway, Kayla Eason, and Josie Stamps, from Eastside FFA Colton Long, from Alcovy FFA Dillon Parker, Selena Vance and Savannah Kuhns.
