The Alcovy Tiger Band hosted a symphonic band festival on March 13. The ATB was joined by bands from the Butts County School District. The ATB Concert Band comprised of mostly freshmen received a rating of superior for their performance from the panel of judges. The concert band music included "The Burma Patrol March," "Achilles' Wrath" and "Andromeda." The symphonic band is made up of upper classmen performing higher difficulty repertoire. This group performed "English Folk Song Suite" and "Through the Vulcan's Eye" and received a rating of excellent. The ATB was happy to assist with and enjoy the performances of the Jackson County High School and Henderson Middle School Concert Bands.
