COVINGTON, Ga. – A burglar left a Woodcrest Drive residence empty-handed Tuesday morning after finding that somebody was home when he broke in.
According to a Newton County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the complainant told the responding deputy an unidentified male knocked on her front door around 10 a.m. April 24 then knocked on the back door.
When nobody answered the doors, the male reportedly took a window off the track and entered the house. The complainant told the deputy once the would-be crook saw her he left the house through the same window he came in.
According to a NCSO spokesperson, no description of the male was given and there are no suspects.
