COVINGTON, Ga. — The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for the armed robbery of a local store.

A man demanded money from an employee at the Dollar General at 5321 Highway 20 S. at 9:02 p.m. Friday.

The man, who was black, had his face covered with a red bandana and wore dark clothing and white or silver shoes.
