COVINGTON, Ga. – Investigators with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office are looking for the lone gunman who robbed a west side gas station Sunday night.
According to a NCSO incident report, deputies responded to the Golden Pantry at 3528 Salem Road at 8:15 p.m. Feb. 18 on a report of a robbery. A sheriff’s office spokesman said a male wearing all black entered the store brandishing a handgun. The suspect reportedly had his face covered with a red bandana.
He fled on foot after taking money from the cash register. There were no injuries.
