NCSO seeks public's help in shooting of Oxford home

COVINGTON, Ga. - Investigators with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) and Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta are asking for the public’s help in reference to a Tuesday aggravated assault.

Crime Stoppers Atlanta is offering up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment, according to a NCSO news release.

Around 11 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, NCSO responded to 225 Victoria Blvd. in reference to a discharged firearm. Deputies found the residence had multiple bullet holes.

“The homeowners advised that at approximately 10:30 p.m. they heard six to eight gun shots in front of their home,” according to the news release. “There were no reports of injuries.”

NCSO Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and Crime Scene Unit were called to process the scene and collect evidence.

“At this time, there are no known suspects,” according to the release.

Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000.
