NCSO searching for suspect in mail theft

COVINGTON, Ga. - The Newton County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a theft suspect who is seen in private security camera footage stealing a UPS package from a home. 

According to a NCSO release, "a male is seen walking onto the porch of a residence on Oak Terrace Drive in the Oakwood Manor subdivision. He is seen picking up a UPS package and walking away with it."

The suspect has braids that appear to be red, black and brown. He was wearing a white t-shirt "that appears to have a  dark stripe on both sides of the shirt," red pants, white shoes, a bracelet on his left wrist "that appears to be made out of white shells" and a blue book bag "that is positioned on the front of his body instead of the back," according to the release.
